The Dawn
Adam John Morrison was born on July 19, 1984, in Glendive, Montana. Fathered by a college basketball coach, Adam grew up to play basketball for Gonzaga University, and eventually win Co-Player of the Year with JJ Redick. After the 2006 season, Morrison declared for the NBA draft, and was selected with the 3rd overall pick by the Charlotte Bobcats. Morrison would prove to be too talented for the lowly Bobcats, so he forced a trade to the LA Lakers. During his stint with the Lakers, Adam played an integral part of the 2009 and 2010 Championship winning teams. Despite their success, the Lakers decided not to resign Morrison after the 2010 season. Speculation was that the Lakers were frustrated by Morrison constantly overshadowing Kobe Bryant, the franchise's other superstar player. Not to be discouraged, Morrison recently signed a lucrative deal with the Washington Wizards. Many feel pairing him with newly drafted Kentucky standout John Wall could form a dynasty in Washington for years to come. One thing is for sure though, it will be nothing less than interesting to watch this promising situation unfold in our nation's capitol. Best of luck to you, Adam.
